With dresses right now.
If I had the money, I'd fly myself to England right now and buy up a ton of these cutesy dresses and when I returned you would not be able to take them off of me. I know some people are in a love affair with shoes, but I'm cheating on my affair for shoes with my adoration of dresses. Ever since I was a young girl, I've always been in dresses. Any occasion and any excuse I could come up with to get me in a dress, I had used.
Maybe it's the freedom I feel I have in dresses, and maybe it's just the fact that they always look so put together. I love a summer dress to just wear around the house and out in the back yard in Texas, because believe me it gets hot here (94 today and we're nearly in September!). But I can't help but adore the evening dress, just because there are so many things you can pair it with like a fitted blazer and some lovely heels, or just the heels and a classic bag.
I can't stress this enough though, DO NOT WEAR BOOTS WITH A DRESS! Yikes, I hate that look, honestly. It just screams trashy to me, not trendy. If you're going with something as classic as an evening dress, don't ruin it with boots, pair it with a nice pair of HOT heels.

I have a black dress in this style with embroidery of red and blue flowers on the bottom that I snagged about two years ago, and I must say this style is just flattering on anyone. The ribbon on the bottom is just so cute!
This one just blows me away. I MUST have it. It's so feminine and pretty; I'd love to wear it out and pair it with just a nice pair of creme heels so the cut out back is exposed (no covering up that pretty little detail with something like a blazer!).
